Step 1 of 3

Enter raglan top measurements

All dimensions are centimetres. Sleeve length runs from the side neck to the wrist; chest and bicep are body circumferences before ease.

Shape changes the diagonal curve while preserving its exact match with the sleeve edge.

How these inputs affect this pattern

Use the notes below to understand which measurements shape the draft, which options change construction, and what should be measured again when values conflict. Presets are starting points; the submitted values drive the result.

Measurement

Measure sleeve length from the side neck

Run the tape from the side-neck point over the shoulder and bent elbow to the wrist. This is longer than an underarm sleeve measurement and should not be copied from a set-in sleeve pattern.

Balance

Front and back are not interchangeable

The front raglan curve accommodates the front chest and the back curve supports the shoulder-blade area. One notch marks front; two identify back on both body and sleeve.

Ease

Use fabric stretch to choose ease

Stable sweatshirt fleece usually needs more wearing ease than highly elastic jersey. The presets are starting points; compare finished chest width with a garment that moves well in the intended fabric.
