Finished width, loop length, folds and end allowances
Finished width controls how wide the belt loop appears after folding. Finished length should be based on the waistband width plus the room needed for the belt and the chosen attachment method.
Match belt loop length to the finished waistband
Use the actual finished waistband width, not only the body waist measurement. A loop for a narrow skirt waistband should be shorter than a loop for a deeper trouser waistband or a heavier belt.
