This example uses the production generator to create front, back, sleeve, and neckband pieces from one measurement set. The image is the actual vector draft, not a stock T-shirt outline.
The same calculation matches the body seams, sleeve cap, armhole, and neckband before producing the downloadable files. Fabric stretch still needs to suit the selected ease and neckband ratio.
Choose a knit with suitable stretch, verify the test square, and sew a sample before final fabric.

The draft includes separate body pieces, a sleeve piece, and a neckband matched to the selected neckline type.
These values control body width, hem position, armhole placement, sleeve length, and the final knit fit.
Round necklines should curve smoothly; V-necks should meet in a clean point and still connect clearly to the shoulder.
Check sleeve cap to armhole length, front/back shoulder seams, neckband length, stretch direction, and hem allowance.
T-shirt pattern guide
The generator builds the body, sleeve, and neckband from one set of measurements, checks the sewing relationships, and adds the selected allowances. Use these notes to select fabric, enter reliable measurements, and print the pattern accurately.
The pattern contains front and back pieces cut on the fold, a complete sleeve piece cut twice, a neckband, seam and hem allowances, grainlines, and a 5 × 5 cm print test square.
Chest and ease set upper-body width; hips and hem ease set the lower width. Shoulder, armhole depth, bicep, and sleeve length control how the sleeve joins the body and allows movement.
Presets provide practical starting proportions. Every measurement remains editable, so the generated sewing pattern is recalculated instead of simply scaling a fixed standard size.
The draft checks front and back shoulder and side seams, sleeve-cap length against the complete armhole, both sleeve underarm seams, and the shortened neckband against the neckline.
Cotton jersey, interlock, and similar knits are suitable starting points. Stretch and recovery affect body ease and neckband length, so test the neckline with the actual fabric.
Print at 100% with page scaling disabled and measure the test square first. Use tiled A4 for home printing, copyshop PDF for one full-size sheet, or SVG for vector editing.
Who, how, and when
This generator is maintained as application code: measurements are converted into vector geometry, related seams are measured numerically where the construction requires it, and the same geometry is used for preview, SVG, copyshop PDF, and tiled A4 PDF.
Generator content and output workflow reviewed 13 July 2026. A generated block remains a fitting starting point; verify measurements, print scale, fabric behaviour, and a test garment.

XS–XL presets provide starting values, but the final body, sleeve, armhole, and neckline geometry is recalculated from the measurements and options entered in the form.
The draft is intended for knit fabrics such as cotton jersey or interlock. Check stretch percentage and recovery because they affect ease, neckline stability, and final fit.
The generator measures the complete front and back armhole curves and builds the sleeve cap toward that target length. It also checks the resulting seam-length difference before export.
Select actual size or 100%, disable fit-to-page scaling, and measure the 5 × 5 cm test square before trimming and joining the tiled pages.
